Early audio works (1981-1983)

These are all solo-tracks recorded int the period 1981-83. They were originally released as the cassettape “Zürich 1914” on the Basedofv lable. The tracks were recorded on a sound-on-sound tape recorder (not a real multi-tracking machine).

Tiden før Malkemaskiner is a duet for saxofon and concertina. This track had been added to the ”Art Jukebox” at the Nikolaj Copenhagen Contemporary Art Center.

“Music for a Silent Movie” was an improvisation for piano.

“Scratching for an Imperialist Movie” is a tape-scratching of a recording by the Red Army Choir. A few piano stabs were added afterwards.

“Homage to a pilot” was inspired by “Der Flug des Lindberghs [Der Ozeanflug]” by Bertolt Brecht. Pia Helene Kofod sings the female vocal.

“Streng” was inspired by the prepared piano works by Cage. I prepared and tuned a guitar, and African kora and a violin for this recording.
