In 1984 I joined Kain (aka the Skizo Kid aka Peter H. Olesen) in making the "Dadamerica" record.

We wanted to make a record not using any instruments. We didn't have a sampler, but Kain had a huge collection of old records and bashed up cassette tapes.

We couldn't afford a real studio (Kain had borrowed the money for this project). So all we had was a rented rehearsal studio with a mixing desk and a 8 track tape recorder
All editing was done by cutting tapes and starting/stopping turntables. The ambiance on the recording was done by running the sound through the reverb unit in a guitar amplifier, and re-recording the sound.

The record featured three track: "Dadamerica", "Dreambeat" and "Into the turmoil of the great cultural revolution". If your browser supports Flash, you will be hearing the last track now.
