The Common Now (2024)

Electro-mechanical audio generators
In the sound installation - The Common Now - two electro-mechanical devices generate deep sounds in the lowest audible register. They try to synchronize the synapses of all visitors and give everyone a shared sense of time. The tones oscillate in the frequency ranges the German researcher Dr. Ernst Pöppel believes controls "The Neuronal Event Machine", and synchronizes the transmission in our synapses. Without this synchronization, we do not experience time. We become without a sense of time and without consciousness, as if under full anesthesia or dreamless sleep.
