Phones 1-9 (2020)

Collaboration with artist Wataru Komachi
Phones are a series of nine rubber casts of old Nokia phones. The cast has a small black & white screen inside. The screens show simple animations of statements or logos of international corporations.
The work is a comment on the embodied relationship we have with mobile and wearable technology while commercial stakeholders have intruded on our personal technology.

The project is a collaboration with artist Wataru Komachi, who proposed and made the visuals for the animations.

Edition of 9 (different animations)
23 (Ø) x 3 cm
